Limited access

Unfortunately the Liddy Ball site is not suitable for people in wheelchairs. Please note that the terrain is hilly, steep and uneven in places - not all flat grass and paths!

Accommodation for visitors
Hopefully by next year we will be able to offer accommodation here at Liddy Ball for course participants and volunteers, but for this year it is most likely that we won't be able to. However, there's quite a range of local hotels, B&Bs and campsites nearby which hopefully will suit your needs.

We recommend you check the local Ashburton website as a good source of information - www.ashburton.org

Terms & Conditions of booking

In the event that you are forced to cancel your booking we will do our best to accommodate you on an alternative date. If this is not possible then your fee will be returned, less an administration fee of 50% if you give us more than 14 days notice.

In the event of you needing to change dates the administration charge will apply if the notice is within 28 days of the course start date, but will be returned if the place is subsequently filled.

In the event of there being fewer than four people on any course, the management reserve the right to cancel the course. In which case a full refund of the course fees will be provided but we cannot be held responsible for any other expenses incurred in advance of the course. We will do our utmost to arrange an alternative date for you.

Want to get involved?
Come and join us on Volunteer Days on the first Saturday and Thursday of each month.
Activities vary from ground preparation, planting, picking and preparing produce, hedging and terracing, building with straw and cob, weaving willow, building irrigation systems, seed saving, harvesting flowers – and of course sharing skills and ideas.

Days will run 9am till 5pm, or for as much of this as you can manage. Refreshments and lunch provided (made from produce from the land, of course!)
